The publication "Thermal conductivity inside prismatic lithium-ion cells with dependencies on temperature and external compression pressure" by Marco Steinhardt and co-authors published in the Journal of Energy Storage deals with thermal conductivity measurements on a prismatic NMC graphite cell. In the study it could be shown that the thermal conductivity through the layers of the electrode-separator composite is significantly dependent on temperature and external compression pressure.
